We hired B.A.G Remodelers back in February 2018 because we were affected by Hurricane Harvey in 2017. We were very picky on deciding who to choose for our entire remodel on our home. We had gotten several quotes from other companies which were not in my opinion “Doing the right thing” But taking advantage of the disaster others were going through at that time.
When we met Barney with B.A.G. Remodelers it was a completely different experience. We asked him for just a quote on doing the walls and we would go from there. And finally someone who respected our wishes and did just that. He did add that we should do a complete mold protection on all our 2x4’s which no one had even mentioned to do before. So we were pleased with his quote and hired him to go ahead and start with the walls.
We then went ahead to the next phase which was kitchen and bathrooms. This was my absolute favorite part we had freedom in choosing our own tiles and cabinets. We told him what we wanted and he delivered exactly that! When the bathroom with the tub was done the window box tiles that matched the boarder were going the wrong way. That was the only thing that I was sad about but he said NO PROBLEM he took that out with ease and put it in the right direction. I was soooooo excited my spa bathroom was complete just how I wanted it.

So its all in the details don’t just except something for what it is they are here to make it the way you truly intended it to be. My moms bathroom was a complete change over. She’s really enjoying it! A lot of homes are putting in showers taking away one of the bathtubs which makes it great if your getting older or going to sell your home. When we were at the point of installing the kitchen island the floor was un-level they were wanting to cut the cabinet but my mom said NO. So they had to pick up the flooring they had put down to level the concrete some more so the end of the story is level floor, island is not cut down and Happy MOM.
The pictures pretty much tell how we love our kitchen. We had lots of fun picking out everything in there too. We also got our back patio done then too which we are very happy with.
So at the end of November 2019 we had Barney back out to do our driveway and walkways. I love the detail that was taken into consideration like a slight angle of the driveway that leans toward our drain so the water will run it that direction. We did have quotes from other companies for the driveway that didn’t mention that. So again DETAILS something you might not remember to do they help with pointing it out so you won’t miss doing it.

It gives me great pleasure to write this recommendation for B.A.G Remodelers. Let me start by company owner Barney Gonzales himself who exudes a level of knowledge and expertise comes to house to evaluate the project. Barney took his time explaining every single detail and options for the replacement wood siding around the house. He also provided extra things included in his quotation he will do that I was not thinking about such as power wash the entire house, painting the entire trims around the house not just the back from Roof soffits, gutters, spouts and every trim around the windows to match the color of the Hardy Plank that I chose as replacement, ensuring the project is always running smoothly and at peak. The quotation he submitted was very reasonable and well below competitor, on the spot I agreed to it . What I appreciated most about Barney was his keen ability to answer my questions. What I did not know off the top of my head, he knew exactly what I want. The job was completed on time, his crew cleaned up the entire lawn. While major remodeling is inherently stressful for almost any homeowner, B.A.G as a general contractor were invaluable, and I am extremely pleased with the final result.

Great Work

I met with Barney to get a quote to remove a load bearing wall and replace it with a beam. He came in with much knowledge of the situation and was able to quote me a very reasonable price which he stuck to all the way through the process. No hidden fees or up-charges when it was all said and done. His crew came in and worked quickly and was able to get the job done in 3 days. The work looks amazing and I cannot say enough about how great of a guy Barney was to work with. He not only did the work I contracted him to do but he also walked me around my house (I bought it the day before they came in) and showed me how to maintain my property the best way to protect the foundation. Any questions I had related to the work they did plus anything else he was very eager to share his advise and help out. I would highly recommend BAG to anyone and will be using them in the future for other projects.

Very good. I have 4 dogs and contractor was very courteous about closing the gate when leaving. Area was always kept clean and my preferences were followed. Contractor did more than was expected such as trimming small trees and removing debris on property prior to their arrival. Debris was not connected to job.

Hello! I worked with B.A.G. Remodelers earlier this year after I moved back into a home I had previously leaded. I needed everything... all walls painted, light fixtures changed, trim repair and paint, and ceilings painted. Not only did they take care of all of these requests professionally and within budget they also worked with me as the project got underway for things that also needed some updates/touch ups.

Barney and his crew were extremely professional and polite. They did some extra work and didn't nickle and dime us for these little extra task. I would recommend them to anyone that is looking to have some work performed.

The rebuild of my house went smooth. Completed on schedule as communicate. Prompt to address my requests. Great team to work with. I am happy with the job they have done for me.

We had a leaky second story dormer that caused significant damage to our interior ceiling, insulation, etc... We contacted BAG Remodelers regarding an estimate. Barney came to our home, was timely, professional and comfortable to work with. He took time to explain the problem and proposed solution in detail. His estimate was comprehensive and competitive. His employees were timely, professional, and trustworthy. We didn't have any issues. Almost three months after the completion of the repairs, everything is holding up and looks great! Barney was also able to provide some information regarding a few other potential remodeling/repair projects. We plan on using BAG in the future.

B.A.G. Remodelers, and Barney, the owner, are top-notch professionals. From repairing the foundation, to installing new flooring, and repainting the house interior, they did excellent work, and left the job site tidy, which is a big plus.

The work exceeded our expectations, was on-time and on-budget. When we asked for additional work, Barney worked with us to have a clear understanding of the additional work order costs and time frames. He helped us choose materials within our budget, too.

Having a warranty is very important to me, and to have a local, family-owned company that warranties all their work and will even go above and beyond and warranty something AFTER the warranty expires, is simply exceptional.

Bag Remodelers were hired to complete the renovation of our kitchen and other work both inside of a new addition and outside our home after another contractor had abandoned the project in mid-stream. They were able to complete the work in six weeks that the original contractor had not done in six months. We found the contractor and his subcontractors very professional and trustworthy and competent. The work included building cabinets and vanities, wall and floor tile work, installing a backsplash, sheet rocking, painting, redoing the floor of the front porch, stucco repair, replacing some house siding, installing doors, cement curb repair, building a ramp, stairs and railing and bringing in dirt to level the yard for correct drainage, We were very happy with their work and the final outcome of the project. We would definitely recommend this contractor,

Remodelers performed contractor and general contractor services, building materials and supplies, site preparation, daily and final cleanup, concrete patio foundation work, breezeway & patio construction, garage foundation reinforcement, interior and exterior finish work.REVIEW: B.A.G Remodeler’s was hired based on a recommendation of a family member who had had an interior redesign done. My project was a 750 sq. ft. in-law apartment over an existing 2½ stall garage extending the garage 14’ to add a covered outdoor patio with stamped concrete flooring including a redesign of the breezeway between the house and the garage/apartment. In addition the contract called for update work on the main house: new roof, replace all trim and soffits, install soffit vents, repair and add gutters where needed and paint the house (two tone). The contract did not include the cost of appliances, cabinets, flooring doors or plumbing.B.A.G. was not the lowest price but it was on the lower end of the several obtained. From the start I witnessed B.A.G. Remodelers as a company who intended on ‘doing it right’. They did not take shortcuts in either material selection or structural integrity. The, owner & general contractor did not hesitate to make suggestions and recommendations that helped improve on the architect\'s plans. He frequently provided options addressing issues like insulation levels, best practices for addressing hurricane strength, ventilation, A/C requirements, roofing materials and window types. B.A.G. Remodelers\'s team was also very responsive to issues I raised which inevitably arise as a construction project progresses. They also quickly engendered a feeling of trust which is important when they are in your home. When a problem did arise employees would make me aware of it and bring Barney in as soon as possible. These were resolved quickly with a minimum of change orders and extra charges.B.A.G handled all rough construction, exterior finishing and interior construction. Their only shortcoming is in the area of electrical contracting. This work is subcontracted. Overall however I would definitely hire B.A.G. Remodelers again.
